About the Company: One of the major Russian banks in terms of the assets value and equtiy. Conducts all types of banking operations: retail and corporate business, investment banking, trade operations, asset management, etc.
According to the audited financial statements (prepared in accordance with IFRS) for the year 2007, the value of assets held by Alfa-Bank Group (OAO Alfa-Bank, subsidiaries and financial companies) amounted to US$22,7 bln, aggregate capital – US$1,9 bln, credit portfolio less reserves – US$15,4 bln, net profit – US$253,5 mln. (US$190,3 mln. for 2006). The bank provides services to more than 51,5 thousand corporate clients and to more then 2,65 mln. individuals.
Alfa-Bank has created an extended branch network. It has 304 outlets and branches in Russia and abroad, including subsidiary banks in the Netherlands, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, a US financial subsidiary.
Investment Concept of the Project: Establishment of a leading business in the growing Russian banking sector.
The Bank received the initial organisational, investment and management booth for further growth. Whereupon Alfa-Bank continued to develop as a separate business within the Alfa-Group Consortium structure.
