About the Company:
Kronverk Cinema, the largest movie theatre chain in St. Petersburg, was being created from scratch by a highly professional team over three years. Now it is growing fast and in 2005 over 3.2 million moviegoers visited its theatres. Kronverk Cinema now holds around 35% of the city’s movie exhibition capacity having created its own marketplace. It is the first company to introduce the concept of a world-standard multiplex movie theatre chain in the region.

The scale of the business and the ambitious plans for proactive growth will ensure advantageous financing and preference from movie studios, equipment suppliers and commercial property owners.

A1 Group has kept the Kronverk Cinema management team together and is investing to create a federal network, an industry leader, on its strong initial base. Over the next three years, Kronverk Cinema is going to open 15 multiplexes in Moscow and other large regional centers, considerably expand its presence in St. Petersburg and enter the markets in Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
