About the Company:
The company was created from a former state enterprise in partnership with the government of the Mogilev region and the Detroit-Belarus Brewing Company (DBBC). DBBC’s shareholders include the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Detroit Investments Ltd. and us. Prior to the investment, the plant was facing bankruptcy and could be characterized by obsolete equipment, low product quality, underutilized capacity and frequent downtime.

Investment Idea of the Project:
Creation of a large and efficient business for the production and sale of beer, the lead company in the market with a big growth potential.
Carrying out a complete renovation providing first-class production facilities. More than doubling production after complete reconstruction.

Role of the Investors:
A1 Group acquired a large shareholding in Detroit-Belarus Brewing Company and takes an active part in management of the plant. A1 Group and other investors provided financing for complete renovation of the plant and increase of capacity. Modern production was introduced; the new brand "Bobrov" was launched and immediately became popular in the country. Since the end of 2005, Syabar has been one of the biggest producers of beer in Byelorussia with the highest quality local product.
