UGC aims at increasing value and market capitalization of portfolio companies through investments in exploration, development of production and expansion of production facilities, as well as through special situations investments and restructuring of mining companies.

Role of the Investors:
UGC successfully completed a turnaround investment in Artel Amur CJSC, the third largest precious metals mining company in Russia. UGC has also incepted several join venture companies in the Central Asia to develop mining business.
The strategic goal of UGC is creation of a world-class mining company through acquiring and developing a portfolio of prospective mining assets in major mining provinces of the former Soviet Union and other countries.
