One of the largest complete-cycle integrated metallurgical works in Russia. It produces by-product coke, metallurgical and rolled stock, wire and consumer goods; its key specialization – a mix of long-length construction and engineering products. It employs around 30,000 people.

Role of the Investor:
The enterprise was in a grave operating and financial position. In 1997-1998, investor suggested a crisis program. Its implementation resulted in a significant improvement of the economic situation of the company. Significant investment funds were attracted and about US$100 million was raised to finance the working capital.
